- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar .
- 1 cup water.

How to make blackberry simple syrup
This simple syrup is so easy to make. You only need about 10 minutes to make this and the uses for it are endless.
Here are the steps:





- Add blackberries, sugar and water to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and gently simmer until the blackberries are soft, about 2-4 minutes.
- Now mash the blackberries down in the simple syrup and remove from the heat and allow to cool.




- Add the fresh lemon to the syrup.
- Once cool, strain out the blackberries with a fine mesh sieve.
Once cool you can store this blackberry syrup in the fridge for up to one week in a covered container.
Variations
